A Dog’s Holy Bible

On the first day Man created parks and ponds, forests and streams and Dog was happy.

On the second day Man created warm homes and soft beds and Dog was happy.

On the third day the Man created the pound and the Veterinarian and Dog was not happy.

But, on the fourth, fifth and sixth days Man created dog food, chew toys, squirrels, Postmen and cars with windows and a host of other great stuff and Dog was happy.

On the seventh day Man said “let there be light” and he touched the wall and there was light! Man also opened the portal between in and out so that Dog could go out and do its business.

To Dog, Man is god.

Man governs life and death of Dog. Provides for Dog. Is kind to Dog when Dog is good and cross with Dog when Dog is bad. Man is all powerful in all things Dog. Dog must follow Man’s plan. If Dog is confused, Dog must have faith in Man. Man knows all.

MAN is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
MAN makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
MAN restores my soul.
MAN guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for MAN is with me;
MAN’s rod and MAN’s staff, they guide me.
MAN prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
MAN anoints my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of MAN forever.

To Dog, Man is god.

Is Dog’s god a god? Of course not.
Is Man’s God a god? …
