Haiku Tuesday: Under & Overwhelmed

Relentless current,
pulls her beneath, while laughter
echoes from the shore.

Picnic at the park,
we nibble our delusions,
consuming ourselves.

  1. Haiku is a great way to learn rhythm, cut glue words, discover how much garf is in our word count. In fact syllable count is one of the best ways to remanufacture a corrupt sentence.
    On blankets and beer
We laughed while Kate got sucked down
    By old man river

    Turn around, don’t drown!
Luke knew, but hell, just this once
    Now he’s gator bait
