A Wizard of Earthsea

Ursula lived just down the street. I should have paid her a visit. She was, after all, my first taste of a world I would spend the next forty years or so enthusiastically wallowing in. A Wizard of Earthsea was the very first fantasy/sci-fi book I ever read. Ursula K. Le Guin then led me to Heinlein, Farmer, Laumer, Asimov, Clarke, Foster and all the others who followed. Great times, great reads.

When I went on a domain name collecting spree back in the late 90’s I picked up wizardearth.com (inoperable right now), partially because of Le Guin and her Wizard and EarthSea naming. I may have to find a host and revitalize that domain with, oh, wordpress indie-authors who publish in the same general genres (and a place to hang my own pending titles).

Good bye Ursula, and thanks for all the fantastic rides.
